I grew up in hotels. Literally. My father, John, served as the General Manager in some of the most recognizable hotels around the U.S for 40 years and those hotels were my home. Wanting me to appreciate the countless to-dos and people that keep a hotel running, my father made sure I cleaned pools, shined shoes, worked the front desk – you name it, I did it. Hotels became part of my DNA.
The experience gave me a profound understanding and respect for the complex ecosystem of the hospitality industry – a perspective which informs the way I do business today. When I connect with anyone, whether a client or a hotel, whether we are doing business together or not, they tend to be disarmed by my genuine, down-to-earth manner and sense of humor. I treat every person I encounter with the high degree of respect they deserve, and it enables me to forge real relationships that pave the way for smoother, more positive transactions. Ultimately, that makes for better experiences for my clients.
“Leave everything better than you found it.” My father instilled this credo in me. I find it guides me even today, whether it’s a person’s day I can brighten, a fire I’m putting out or a situation I can make better. I love helping people.

I take responsibility for everything I touch, as do the people I surround myself with, and work with, on your behalf.
I keep my word, always. I strongly believe you should do what you say you will do, even if it’s small and you think it doesn’t really matter. It always matters to someone.
Regardless of the end game, it’s the people along the way that really matter. I respectfully work with the entire ladder of roles in any organization, regardless of an individual’s title or decision-making rank.
I am unfailingly honest, forthcoming with information, and communicate as clearly and transparently as possible.
Stay a step (or five) ahead. I remain well informed so we (you and I) can think on our feet when we need to.
I keep my sense of humor in every situation. Having some fun while we’re working together makes the process not only more enjoyable, but usually more successful, too.
I’ve accomplished some pretty incredible things working with my partners. Anything is possible. Expect to find solutions and you will.
